Reading the grid: what every multiplier is telling you

Every box on the Syde grid carries a number with a × beside it. Learn to read that number and the whole screen makes sense.

12×15×18×20×4.2×5×6.5×8×1.6×1.9×2.4×3×1.7×2×2.6×3.2×4.5×5.4×7×9×13×16×19×22×
  • Near the price: lower multiplier, wins more often
  • Far from the price: higher multiplier, wins less often

Three things make a box

  • A price range. The height of the box: the highest and lowest price it covers.
  • A timer. The width of the box: the few seconds it runs for.
  • A multiplier. What a winning tap pays, as a multiple of your stake.

You win a box when the price stays inside its range until its timer ends. If the price leaves the box first, the stake on that box is lost.

Why the numbers differ

A multiplier is a price tag on difficulty. Boxes sitting right where the price already is are the easiest to hit, so they carry the lowest multipliers. The further a box is from the price, the more the market has to move to reach it and then hold there, so the multiplier climbs.

That is the trade you make with every tap. A higher multiplier means higher profit potential on a winning tap, and it also means the box wins less often. No box is a sure thing.

The numbers move. Yours does not.

Watch the grid for a few seconds and you will see multipliers change as the price moves. A box that was a long shot can become a near thing, and its multiplier falls to match. Once you tap, though, your number is locked. The multiplier you saw when you tapped is the one your tap is settled at.

The arithmetic, both ways

A winning tap returns your stake times the multiplier, and that figure includes the stake itself. A losing tap returns nothing. Here is a 2 USDT stake on three different boxes.

BoxIf it winsIf it loses
1.8×3.60 USDT backNothing back
5×10 USDT backNothing back
15×30 USDT backNothing back

The right-hand column is the same on every row. What changes from row to row is how often you end up in it. These figures show the sums only. They are not typical results.

Three ways to misread the grid

  • Reading a big multiplier as a better deal. It is a harder box. The number is high because it usually does not come in.
  • Raising the stake after a loss. The next box does not know about the last one. A bigger stake only makes the next loss bigger.
  • Losing count. If you have more than one box in play, add the stakes together. That total is what you have at risk right now.
